For those who desire a short but memorable excursion in the Danube Delta, or for lovers of sunrise or sunset, the ideal journey is approximately a 2-hour trip. The departure is from the DeltaTours pontoon located within the Tulco grounds, where we gently head towards Channel 36, the gateway to the Danube Delta.

Here, we turn left onto the Trofilca Channel, where we begin to acquaint ourselves with the delta’s unique fauna and flora. We set off in search of birds on the Cotete and Purcelul lakes where we will encounter cormorants, coots, swans, ducks, and wild geese, hoping and with a bit of luck, to spot pelicans and perhaps even the majestic white-tailed eagle.

The return journey takes us through Garla Sireasa, Channel 36, and back to the dock.
